TEAM MEMBER

Lisa loves to study literature, especially fiction. Before she retired, she spent more than thirty years sharing poetry, short stories, and novels with her students. She is excited to work one-on-one with children of all ages to strengthen their thinking and communication skills through reading, writing, and conversation.

Lisa graduated from Georgetown Visitation, Howard University, and George Mason University. She holds an English teaching license in Washington, DC. She has tutored students after school for at least twenty years.

She quickly discovers students' interests and preferences to build rapport and trust. She facilitates collaborative activities and individualized practice, depending on each student’s needs.

Lisa enjoys walking in Rock Creek Park, sitting by the ocean, and cuddling with her pets. Sunday dinners with her family bring her joy.
